RESULTS
Our affix Karamugi originated by using the letters of
Kim and Graham together and changing the letter "H"
to a "U".
Dressage Horses were my first love, I competed with them
all over the country at top level. It was at this time
that my mother started to show a Miniature Poodle bitch.
I noticed striking similarities between Dressage Horses
and Show Dogs . . . 'Correct construction should give
correct movement. Style and Carriage is a must for both.
Horse and Rider must look and work as one and Dog and
Handler should show in Harmony'.
As my horsey days were closing and being a competitor
at heart,
I began to get itchy feet. Not being known to shy away
from a challenge, Dave suggested that I show one of his
dogs. As I took the first guard dog out of the kennel,
I think the horses thought I had lost the plot, running
up and down the yard with a Dobermann. It was with him,
that I caught the showing bug.
My mother had by now got several miniatures, so not to
be outdone, I purchased a Stardard dog "Larling Double
Trouble". Timing was not great as Mum and Dave moved
to Essex and then to Suffolk and formed "Bedingfield
Poodles". I in the meantime, remained in Kent for
a few years. Then in 1992, I joined up with Bedingfield
and aquired my first Miniature, a brown bitch "Leryvas
Simpley Brown at Bedingfield". It was around this
time that I met Graham and we moved to Norfolk and "Karamugi
Poodles was Born"
During the time I have shown dogs I have had some fantastic
memories, but the one that stands out the most would be
winning my first ever green and white card . . . the dog
CC and to round off a wonderful day, going on to win Best
in Show at the Miniature Poodle Club's 21st Anniversary
Show.
